Over the last 5 years the turnover and
profitability have provided consistent growth. The acquisition and establishment
of the business has meant that considerable write off against profit occur
annually. Despite this the business delivers an acceptable return on the assets
it employs.
As previously mentioned it is a Company Policy
which is a directive from Michael that all staff are proud of, that is, we
always shop locally to the extent for example is all staff uniforms are
purchased from local businesses.

In addition, Esperance Freight Lines sponsors a
significant number of Sporting, events,
cultural activities in Regional Western Australia:

community and those in need, whether it is a monetary donation, free freight or
lending a truck / trailer for a good cause.

From a small family owned business
at the end of the last century, Esperance Freight Lines has through its
ownership expanded its general freight service to other major Regional centres,
namely, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie. Thus achieving geographical diversification.

The business has diversified it’s
reliance on general freight to developing a viable Bulk Transport operation that
in itself has an even spread of business in both Mining and Agricultural sector.
Michael Harding’s foresight, work
ethic, creates the culture for reliance on a management team to manage the
diversified business. Where necessary he has selected support to assist with the
Financial Management and Planning of business growth through the use of:
Michael Harding’s philosophy has been that
Esperance Freight Lines, source as much as possible from local Esperance,
Geraldton and Kalgoorlie
Businesses, in particular those businesses that in turn supports the Company.
The EFL, GFL and KFL brand will lead the companies
thrust to become the major general and bulk regional transport carrier in
Western Australia within the next five years. In support of development the
Company has recently contracted with Translogix International Pty Ltd to provide
a significant upgrade to the control of its general freight business.
The efficiency generated by this improvement will
put the business in a strong position going forward. Customers will ultimately
be able to log onto the computer to book their freight and then check its
progress to ultimate deliver point. At the same time every truck and trailer
will have a report on revenue generated against the costs incurred.
The current fleet replacement program will commence
in 2011 and will see a transition to a modern fleet of prime movers. |
